Dolphin death investigated by MGM Mirage
At the Mirage on the Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada, a dolphin died in its aquatic habitat. Now the MGM Mirage officials investigate the death of this poor animal.
The dolphin was 11 years old and he was called Sage, the cause of his death is yet unknown. The spokesman of MGM Mirage Gordon Absher Monday, claimed that now the animal care official of the company are trying to determine the cause of the death of Sage. He also said that in 1990 the attraction opened with 5 dolphins. During the years 13 dolphins died at Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat.

PETA asked the U.S. Department of Agriculture's animal care division to investigate the death. The Department was asked in a letter, to investigate the circumstances of the death of Sage by making a necropsy. Normally this dolphin habitat is very successful though it offers tours and hosts birthday parties. For the interested ones, it can be rented for private parties as well.
