Hollywood's Seminole Casino

Hollywood's Seminole Casino
The original Seminole casino has a rival across the street. The old one is still a formidable 25 poker tables, room that has many tournaments each week. The new Seminole Hard Rock has an extremely flashy style and a youthful casino hotel. Four years ago a $ ½ no-limit came on the casino poker scene and it was often spread with $100 cap to the buy-in.

This had to prevent rich poker players from buying everyone at the table. The problem is that soon the poker world recognized that $100 was a low amount, so now it increased up to $500 in some places. In Florida the no-limit poker became legal only recently. Until last year, there was a $2 betting limit. On the one hand the legislature felt pressure to allow the no-limit, but on the other hand it wanted to keep on protecting players from losing too much money and that's why the buy-ins are limited.

The $100 caps can be bought for multiple buy-ins. A player can make a $100 buy-in, lose it and then buy another $100 cap and so on. Well maybe this kind of limitation force players to lose their money all in one, but the point is, that if somebody wants to play all his money, he will do it, yes in more than one games, but still he is free to do it and that's why this limitations isn't really the best decision. Some players still prefer the old Seminole Casino that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
