Slot Strategy Myths
If you’re going to be successful at online slots, you should be aware of some myths that tend to confuse some players. An online slots strategy that avoids these myths will not necessarily make you a winning player, but it may enhance and extend your playing experience.

Slot Myth No.1: Lucky Machines

No casino games, including slots, are “luckier” than any others. However, some slots may be looser than others. What this means is that the online casino programs their machines to payout at a certain rate. If one machine is paying out 90 percent of the money it takes in and another machine is paying out 80 percent, then the first machine may be considered to be “luckier” since it will pay out more. However, between two machines with equal payout rates, it doesn’t matter which one you play.

Slot Myth No.2: Progressive Jackpots are Won Through Team Play

While having two players both going for the same progressive jackpot may make it twice as likely for them to hit it, they presumably will be splitting it, so nothing will really change as far as your odds of hitting a progressive jackpot through team play.

Slot Myth No. 3: The More Coins You Play the More You Can Win

This is true to an extent. However, if your machine does not offer a progressive jackpot for playing the maximum coins, you may choose to play one or two coins at a higher limit than five coins at a lower limit, because the odds tend to be better for the player at the higher limit machines. If there is a progressive jackpot however, you should always play the maximum coins because this is the only way you can qualify for the jackpot.
