How to play a hand in Texas Holdem
Texas Holdem is a popular game and played by millions across the globe. Learning how to play Texas Holdem is easy, but only sustained practice will enable you to play a winning hand consistently.

To begin playing a hand in Texas Holdem, the two players to the left of the dealer will first post blind bets. The player immediately to the dealer's left will post the small blind while the second player to the dealer's left posts the big blind.

After that, every player is dealt two cards, face down, called hole or pocket cards.
The first move is made by the player to the left of the big blind, who can call, raise, bet or fold. This follows another round of betting, after which three cards are dealt face up on the table. These are community cards and anybody on the table can use them in combination with their own hole cards to make the best five-card hand. After thus round, called the flop, betting begins again with the player to the dealer’s left.

Then a fourth card is dealt face up on the table, called the fourth street or the turn card. This is followed by another round of betting after which a final card is dealt on the table. This card is called the fifth street or the river. Now comes the last round of betting. The remaining players show their cards and the player with the best five-card hand wins.
